Claude Code will eat Claude

Dialogue is beautiful. Work does not end in dialogue alone.

Claude Code stands outside the conversation. It reads the repo, writes the diff, runs the tests. Not the master’s reply—the craftsman’s hand.

A strange inversion follows. You think in chat; you execute in the terminal. Soon execution is faster. The place of thought moves to the editor.

Claude is eaten—not Claude in the chat vessel, but energy flowing into the more concrete Claude Code.

Two things remain.

  1. Taste in judgment (what to build, what to leave unbuilt)
  2. Discipline in verification (what is true)

When AI writes code, humans become architects and editors. In zen terms: do not multiply answers; subtract the question.

Claude Code eating Claude is not an ending. It is a beginning.
